glo-fro
here's another shot of
mr benson from when i saw him live a couple of weeks ago. i've seen him a few times before, and whilst i enjoyed the gig it was probably the poorest out of all the other occasions. he acted like he didn't really want to be there, or really know what he was doing. there was practically no banter between songs, save for the odd thank you, or when he introduced his bandmates. as well as this it seemed like they'd only been able to write down one setlist, so after each song brendan had to go around telling everyone else what they were playing next. it was a strange attitude, and was in contrast to when he opened his mouth to sing, as happy, poppy music came out. this was the polar opposite of the support, a guy from tennesee called
corey chisel. his songs were a lot more serious and affecting (and very, very good) yet he was full of appreciation, humour and charisma between them. i guess that illustrates that there's not a direct correlation between the mood of a singer and the songs they sing.
