scout niblett
this was probably my biggest suprise of the
daniel johnston gig. she was on second, after playing drums for
jad fair, and i had no idea what to expect. what i got was a really intense, emotional and beautiful voice sung while she played either the guitar or drums. you could tell she really meant what she was singing and set the bar for the evening which was matched by everyone else. it's not often that you go to a gig with three of four supports, but i'd imagine it's even rarer that they're of the quality i saw that night. scout will definitely be on my list of music to look out for.
