this was another shot that i took outside the fernery in south africa and is probably my favourite. unsuprisingly there were lots of ferns around, which i didn't think looked that interesting. then i saw the sun squeezing between the trees, illuminating a couple of taller ones. i had to get in the right position so that i wasn't blinded by the sun, but so i could still see enough and not get it too blurry. i think this was one of the last shots i took before going back to my room and collapsing in the bed. i'm glad that i stayed out long enough to get the photo.

i didn't think the shot out the camera captured the glow that was there well enough so i adjusted the levels in photoshop - here's the original
